Park Jun Young always had a passion for sports at a young age. He began his journey in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in late 2002. He was hooked from the beginning, and began training everyday for hours upon hours. Park realized that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was still at an infancy stage in Korea. Thus, in 2005, in order to continue improving, he traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil to train Jiu Jitsu. He trained day and night, and competed often in tournaments. Generally, it takes an average of 10 years to get to black belt. However, through his dedication, passion and persistence, he was able to attain his black belt in 2008 under his current instructor, Roberto Tozi. Park Jun Young became the first Korean to receive a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt.

After receiving his black belt, Park came back to Busan to open his first gym in 2008. He is one of the co-founders of Dong Cheon Baek San (DCBS) Jiu Jitsu Association, and continue to become an influential figure in spreading Jiu Jitsu across South Korea.
